Hard Times exhibition at the Harris

Showing an exhibition at the Harris Museum and Gallery of the work of The 2017 Turner Prize winner Preston-based artist and researcher at Making Histories Visible Professor Lubaina Himid MBE.

The Harris has had a long relationship with Lubaina, showing her work on a number of occasions including most recently Moments that Matter in 2012.

This exhibition features several works including Fashionable Marriage, featured at the Ferens Gallery in Hull as part of the Turner Prize exhibition in 2017, and Feast Wagons first seen in Preston at Oxheys Mill Studios in 2011, at the Tetley Gallery in Leeds and at Oxheys again in 2016.

Through the course of the show, Lubaina has invited selected artists, currently working in the city, to curate exhibition and events bringing in a number of international artists and creative contributors from across the world.
